Yeah, if only Wikileaks had been around in 1940 to release all America's secrets while NOT RELEASING ANY OTHER NATION'S, WW2 could have been avoided. See, the Nazis could have just killed us - no WW2.

With Wikileaks giving our classified information to Al Queda, they could have been much more effective. Probably no Iraq war and more. What hero's!

Imagine it's 1943 and this guy is releasing classified information about AMERICA ONLY (while pretending to just want "peace and justice"). How long would he live? By picking one side (where are the "leaks" about Chechnya? Tibet? Burma? Sudan?), he is an enemy combatant.
It does not take 120 analysts to contain a guy like this - it takes a 6 man team and a few hundred thousand dollars.

If wikileaks were a government run program releasing true but useless information (check) while gathering leads and intelligence from our enemies (double check) then they might be able to prevent an attack.

But that's just crazy- there are no secret programs like that... a person would have to believe in wild conspiracies to even imagine it!

For once I could try to believe... I don't understand how so many could be turned into what Stalin called "useful idiots", and sell out a flawed system that tries to be good, in favor of systems that make no effort to be good. It just baffles me...
