I'd prefer to postulate tolerant air.

Why would God need to turn them over to do things they were already doing?? That just doesn't make sense if I'm understanding you correctly.
Of course you don't understand because you play the role of a moron way too well.

Hmmm... Gee, Bubba, I dunno what he meant by "turn them over.". Hmmm.. Let's see. God showed Himself to the Pagans who rejected Him and worshiped idols instead. So He TURNED THEM OVER to their rituals.

It's an exact analogy to debunk your homophobic argument.
How does stating the obvious, that someone had to be alive before it was written, in order to write it, debunk the Bible?? That's kind of a no-brainer, and no one claims it was written before man came along.

Your believing, or not believing, in the Bible has no bearing on what's actually said in the Bible. Those are two seperate arguments.

Homosexuality is another non-criminal behaviour, like breathing, that predates the bible... surely that's not too difficult to understand?

Most "sins" involve an act which wrongs another. Lying, cheating, stealing, adultery, etc, etc.... However, this "vile sin" of homosexuality doesn't seem to meet this criteria.

Exactly. I didn't know how else to describe it other that "non-criminal" because unfortunately a lot of people say it is a sin, whereas I don't agree with the concept of sin, only with right and wrong.

Duh, whadya mean by that??

Or it could be like it says, that because of the rituals they were performing, He turned them over to be guided by their own unclean lusts, which caused them to perform the unnatural acts they were lusting for.

Not difficult to understand, just difficult to agree with.

Wow, you would actually have to put words into Paul's letter for it to mean that. Talking to you pointless.

btw, just how is your closet doing today?

Well 'sin', IMHO, is when you wrong another. No one from the anti-gay side can explain how homosexuality actually fits into this category. Sure, I've seen them try to use AIDS as an excuse but they seem to want to ignore this also happens in heterosexuality.

That's what it's always meant until homosexuals started trying to legitimize their behavior and began to claim it means something different. Aren't there any heterosexual pagans?? These rituals you guys always talk about in the Bible, apparently involve homosexual sex only.

It's dark and musty, and missing you, it wants you back in it. Why do gay people have these fantasies about heterosexual guys who disagree with them, being gay??

McMike, without prejudice to your views, I'm going to park the sin discussion because I will never believe in sin, I will only believe in right and wrong.

AIDS has created intolerance. Give our race a few more decades of research and we should be able to control all diseases. Then, criticising others based on disease alone, will be exposed as the purely prejudicial tactic that it is.

Sin is when we fall short of what God expects us to do. We don't get to categorize it, or decide whether something is sinful or not. Homosexuality is sex outside of marriage, thus sinful.

Sin is separation from God which is what you do when you judge other people and marginalize them in the name of your personal prejudiced beliefs.

A lot of babble but not fact. You don't know your Bible very well if you're inferring the Pagans didn't practice heterosexual sex rituals.

And, yup, somehow the Bible was condemning homosexuality as an orientation even though the concept wouldn't exist for 2,000 years after Paul wrote this letter.

As I've said before, YAFI.

I totally respect your views and am definitely not trying to change them. I'm just saying, IMHO, your "wrong" (as in 'right' and 'wrong') is my "sin".

Ah, the good old "All sex outside of marriage is wrong" and "I'm against gay marriage".

I don't know how many times I have to say this but since you're proving the point for me... YAFI.
