I noticed in the story it said the girl was found in the weeds near jellico. Wonder where exactly. And yes, it is very odd that the body went unnoticed for so long. It's sounds to me like something is just not right. How could noone report that little girl missing? This makes me sad and even scares me a little too. It just makes me thank god that my two little girls and my little boy are safe at home with me. I hope with all of my heart that they find who did this.

Another thing I don't understand is that investigators said that DNA was extracted and cases are being solved more than before because of new technology. Why haven't they identified this child yet??

I feel the same as you about why don't they know who she is yet. I just can't wrap my head around it. If they put something in codeis, why didn't something come up? I just can't figure it out... And why was she thought to be from Ohio?

Very STRANGE!

It is strange! I just don't get how they came to the conclusion that she was from Ohio without being able to identify her. I think they should go onto the missing persons website, put her estimated age at death, and the year and month she went missing and see if anything comes up. If anyone from any state came up, follow all leads. She may not hve even been from Ohio.

I don't understand that part either.Maybe to throw people off track.?Makes one wonder who was really involved in the death of this little girl.

She had to be someone's daughter That's for sure and if she had no living parents at the age of her death which was anywhere from 11-13 yrs.of age Surely
she had other relatives that knew she was missing.

You can go onto the website for missing and exploited children, put in the search criteria and it shows you every one that went missing around that time. There was one from 1983 (I think) she was 9 when she went missing and she is from Ohio. Go to www.missingkids.com and search it. Idk if this is every missing person or not, but it is worth looking at anyway.

I will look it up again and let ya know her name. I think I will search it again as I think my search timeframe wasn't broad enough. Also, I said she went missing in 83 on my last post, but it was in 1980. Still, they said she could have been there from a year on... Anyway, give me a minute and I will come back with a name

Her name is tiffany papesh it says she went missing in 1980 on a store errand and never returned. She was born in 71. Not saying that this is the little girl, just saying if she was believed to be missing from Ohio, here's one that went missing from Ohio 5 years before the unknown girls body was found.

Well I think it would be worth tbi checking in to. I think all they would have to do is get a DNA sample from one of the parents and compare it to the DNA sample they got from
the bones. I mean it may take a little time, but it would be worth it. They should start searching for missing girls in neighboring states, then broadening the search if no results were found in closer states. This little girls family deserves to know what happened to her and I'm sure somewhere out there someone is thinking about her and wondering every day.
