Pro-family groups were encouraged this week by the announcement that the U.S. Census Bureau will not include same-sex "marriages" in its upcoming 2010 census report.

They are doning what they have to. Currently, the DOMA says that the feds will not recognize some marriages. Since the Census Bureau is part of the fed govt. they are required to take part in this civil rights travesty. However, California is marrying gays from other states, and in time gays married in CA will move to other states as well.

In short order, DOMA will be shot down as the hate crime it is. The Consititution REQUIRES that ALL states recognize marriages performed in any state. And THAT is the highest law in the land.

It's not the Constitutions place to require any state to recognize marriage.

Not a surprise when 38 states have ammended their constitutions to say marriage is only a man and woman.

Hmm, you might want to try actually reading the consititution before making such comments. States are required to recognize such things as marriages, divorces, drivers licenses, etc. if they were performed in any other state.

Yes, but at least 38 states know how to actually work democracy. As for the rest, which I assume you are a part of, we will keep hoping they will not remain ignorant. As far as morons, I will have to take you word on it. You would know better than I would.

What ever the mark was that you were attempting to hit, you missed it. No where in the constitution does it require anything of the sort.

Talk about denial. Of course the fundies say there is no gay marriage. As a matter of state law there is in two places. And there is in more and more countries each year.

What else can someone who believes the earth was created in six days do but deny simple reality in many different ways? Nothing else. They're totally, totally insane.

And Kurdley, you're a liar. You better rebuke your satanic lying, woman!

Yep. Article IV, Section 1. I will assume that marriage (as well as divorces, drivers licenses, etc) is part of "public acts, records, and judicial rulings."

Democracy has nothing to do with it as we live in a democratic republic, which is not the same thing. It doesn't really matter, equality for all will eventually win out and losers like you can crawl back under your rock.

It helps if you actually have a logical point to make regarding the subject being spoken of instead of tossing around empty insults thinking it makes some sort of impact.

The key phrase there is "democratic republic". Meaning democracy. We live in a republic governed by, like it or not, democracy. So, it has everything to do with it. You know, the whole government for the people by the people thing. I am shocked at how many people have no idea how our government is supposed to operate.

I hope you realize how ugly it is when you allow your emotions to dictate your actions instead of your logic and reason. This is what happened when you wrote this.

You're lying AGAIN! Pretty good for such a devout fundie.

As I pointed out it's nothing less than psychotic denial for talibangelical kooks like yourself to say there is no such thing as gay marriage.

It currently exists in two states, Canada and most of Western Europe.

You might not like the fact of marriage equality, you Jezzebel harlot, but it's a fact it exists.

Now repent your lyin', Lizzie.

Yes, you be lying Jezebelle. Gay marriages ARE happening. Repent, woman!

Of course, you're sick, lying denial is part and parcel for psychotics who think the earth was created in six days.

I've been around gay people and I've been around straight people . It seems to me that people in general have alot of unnessary hate. Why would I want to judge what someone does in their own privacy . I stand on neither side, but I can tell you that people love to hate. And the very worse of all is the so called self righteous church people that have their heads in the air , that does the worse judging of all. Straight keeping it Straight !!!!!!

Democracy means one man, one vote, and that's not how it works here. Maybe you need to learn how our government works, because you seem clueless.
