Lawyer makes case against immigrant myths

There are 59 comments on the www.dallasnews.com story from Apr 26, 2009, titled Lawyer makes case against immigrant myths. In it, www.dallasnews.com reports that:

While politicians may debate the merits of immigration reform, many economists and researchers have already made up their minds: Immigrants contribute far more to the U.S. economy than they take.

In the article it states they contribute\ute over 500 billion in s,s.a taxes. More pro hype in who's names were the taxes paid? If he is illegal who's S.S.A numbers is he using...........Tim

a month ago? I didnīt say this a month ago, before I leave the house will have to have renters in line, ect. I probably will not go until after that time, then I said it would be a few months and that was about two weeks ago not a month. I wonīt go anywhere though until the house is rented out.
Oh yeah? Well, what is this:

i think it's good that they still want our currency(to sent home or whatever)
if the whole world suddenly throw u.s.dollar and use euro dollar for commercial, what value do we have in dollars?
check it out peoples, why euro now is worth than dollar.
we do not want them, but we do need someone to replace them.
we don't give them the chance to pay taxes(because they don't have any social security or any papers)but we blame them not paying tax.
at least we still get some when they spend in here.
u.s.could not expand the economy w/o more immigrants(whether legal or illegal) because people is one of factors of growing in anyway ,anything.
more peoples > more buying/selling(ex:house,etc., more spending) > more growing(business) > more taxes > ....

Lady for your information again, my parents are 100% Americans and I was born overseas and we were well treated when we were there. I will always sympathize with foreigners ( legals or illegals). Immigrants made this country what it is now and we should not be ungrateful. Thank you for consulting your dictionnary. You are a tough lady, quality that makes you special. However you get on my last nerves sometimes, particulary when you become too extremist and insulting.A FREEDOM OF SPEECH IS NOT AN AGGRESSION.

I don't even know you!Why should I be jalous? If I am insulted, I will give it right back.Go straight to the point like some people in here! convince me like TIM, Cricket23...Your insults are irrelevent to the point we're trying to make here. Illegals are made good use of for political pawns to split the vote this way and that. After all they bring in h1 visa people all the time by the millions and they never go home. no questions asked neither.

Millions of Americans who want to work.

Rebel I said soon, not when and said I would post the day before....have I done that? Nope...for your information I am going through radiation treatment for a small tumor they found not a good idea to leave in the middle of that without dealing with it. Radiation isnīt as big a deal as chemo but it becomes a big deal when you donīt deal with it. I lost my beloved mother 11 years ago because she didnīt follow her doctorīs orders when it came to tumors...I will not follow in her footsteps. I wouldnīt call it cancer even though it was cancerous..it was first stage but what she dealt with was the demon of cancer, what I am dealing with is inconvenience. I would never dare to compare stage 1 with true cancer that has spread in level 3.

Most donīt get paid cash because the employer canīt claim their wages as a deduction, but many people even legal citizens get paid cash, you contribute either quarterly with an accountant or yearly depending on your income level.

Well, I am sorry to hear about your health situation, and I sincerely hope it all goes well for you. I am also sorry you lost your mother so early. Good luck with your situation, and prayers for a full recovery.

WTF? Learn English. Your post is illiterate, at best.

If any person wants respect, they need to give it first. Visitors give respect if they want to get it. Illegals show absolutely no respect for themselves or this country, and, as such, they deserve none in return.

The vast majority of illegal aliens in this country are Mexican. That is a fact. If you don't like that fact, too bad for you.

Thank you...really what I am dealing with doesnīt even begin to compare. Evidently you have seen cancer up close and personal. I doubt I would go through what she went through...not the suicidal type but if I were ever facing terminal cancer it would change.

That vaccine for swine flu was taken off the market as it was killing people. Be careful what you take!!!!!
