I think he would have done better going to Texas Tech. Better opportunity and I think it is a great school for academics. Not that Pitt is a bad school but I think the fit would have been better.
Give him credit though for staying close to home and his Mom. Family comes first. Hope the kid stays clean and doesn't get messed up like some athletes do when they go to college.

cONGRADULATIONS DESIMON, Pitt is a great international university. You have a lot to choose from. Chancellor Nordenberg has spearheaded Pitt to greatness on all levels. One is the turnaround of the athletic programs. You have some big shoes to fill..Mike Ditka (the hammer), Hugh Green, Ricky Jackson, the pros. Dick Deitrick,MD and others in the medical field. Avoid drugs, alcohol, gambling and be in your home or dorm by midnight. Nothing good happens after midnight!Go to church with your mom. Your family, Clairton fans and Pitt fans will be cheering you on. Let's hear Desimon, Desimon, Desimon after every great play rock through the stadium.
