"Gov. Rick Perry's office said he is comfortable with the abstinence-based approach. "We oppose any sex education other than abstinence until heterosexual marriage," said his spokeswoman."

This person is insane.

Here's a Texas joke. I'm giving the link because the last time I tried to copy and paste I got extra symbols and doodads.

Piles of steaming entrails would be the most accurate statement, but not very nice to visualize.

I remember the first time I saw one of those darn things - we had just moved to Texas and already I was overwhelmed by the heat and the flatness (I had come from a city surrounded by bluffs so the openness was terrifying at first). Then I go to a playground that boarders a field - but I could not see into the field because there were bushes in the way. Hoping it was horses behind those bushes, I squirmed through them and came withing five feet of a gigantic longhorned cow.

To this day I don't know who was more startled - me, or the cow.

We have some of those around here too. They say they are more docile than regular bulls. Maybe they have to grow those big horns to appear mean.

I think in Brokeback Mountain, Heath Ledger used the "New York Method" on Jake Gyllenhaal.
