2 Good, then you won't mind if we discriminate against you ignorant bigots as you have done against gays and lesbians. Praiz! The blog makes it clear that a group of gays and lesbians showed up en masse, so in this context str8 appearing would be "not part of the self identified group." Nevertheless, glad to hear you've dropped your homophobic generalizations about gays and lesbians...since you now can't imagine what str8 appearing (and thus gay appearing) would be like. Praiz! |

1 The bar is being discriminatory and will pay the price in the courts for their stupidity and homophobia. So, like I said, it's a free country. If they want to shovel beaucoup cash to the courts to defend their stupidty, let 'em. They will lose every time. |

2 Gay looks like two men together or two women together and straight looks like a man and a woman together. It is even easier to tell if they are holding hands or kissing. My elderly gay uncle tells me that in San Francisco when the cops would raid a bar the gay men would stand next to the gay women and pretend to be a couple. The cops would let these 'straight' couples leave but anyone not matched up would get their name in the paper the next day. One bar owner was arrested and he asked the judge to look out into the room and tell him who is gay and who is not. The charges were dismissed against him running a gay bar. All the Lesbians carried lip stick and if the bar was raided they would put it on as the cops were bashing heads to prove their were straight and should be let free to go. Could I make that up? What I don't understand is why these 100 gay patrons didn't support a gay establishment for dinner and a drink? And I would not be so quick to bash Houston when the problem is Christianity. |

2 Sorry, don't buy the owner's story. And the yelp from the supposed "gay guy" claiming some sort of planning meeting is bogus as well, no doubt the owner or an employee trying to place blame somewhere else. I have friends who are in Houston and were at this place on the night in question. My friends were inside and heard/saw everything. Sure, by fire code they couldn't have let EVERYONE in, but they were letting in "str8" couples and single women who looked bimbo-ish but none of the obviously gay men or women standing outside were allowed. |

1 How do you know so much about it? Were you there? Did you fly down from Oregon and witness the event? You know how misleading the media can be at times. Why don't you wait until you get the whole story before you make assumptions and bash other people? That doesn't sound very tolerant to me. Or does tolerance only apply to certain people/groups at certain times? This isn't about Houston or Texas and the millions of people living in both. It is about one, sorry to admit, not so great bar and one side of the story. All of you people who took this story as a chance to bash Houston or Texas need to grow the hell up and bring your self-righteous asses down from your pedestal. There are homophobic morons living in every town, every state, and every nation. If you are gay you deserve the right to live your life however you want without harming others. But, being gay doesn't entitle you with carte blanche to criticize and stereotype others just because other people do it to you. THAT is hypocritical. |

Read the article. The group called ahead and were expecting 100 people. The owner didn't seem to have an issue with the number of people or conflicts with other reservations then. And if the bar was empty as reported by those who did get inside, why not let in the paying customers waiting in the rain? Open your eyes. |
