Yeh, if the DA can blame all the murders on dead guys, he won't have to worry about lawsuits. Much easier than doing your job properly.

The thing about that really gets to me is, the way they worded it, is that the killer covered her with care, and that doesn't fit Hopkins profile. I know they were looking at Sigsbee for that murder as well, of course, he is dead now too, but I know he was listed as a suspect for the case in Cobleskill as well.

Wtf is this DA thinking. Ok so all the murders have something in common, and that is they were all stabbed, and in wooded areas. Not many murder/rapings take place on main street. This guy is truble shooting. What is he trying to prove? He has no positive DNA on any of the crimes, and he's only going by stipulations. Cmon, how can he have the nerve to go to someones family after 40 yrs and say (ummm we THINK we found out who killed your daughter) this guy is totally letting this get out of control.

It's important. Families can be suffering because there is a lack of closure.

Ever look at who she may have been having an innocent but secret affair with? & I don't mean the student boyfriend, but rather someone who in the community, that might have not wanted it to go further, or be public? Too often beautiful, young, loving, naive girls fall in love with 'the wrong guy'; maybe He was married and just used her, but she wanted more of a relationship. For many women "making love" means "just sex" for the man. Maybe he was fearful she'd expose him in the little town of Cobleskill. Just saying; cuz happens all too often.
