I have been blindsided by Sullivan financial aid. When I was attending, my loans maxed out and so I was forced to acquire an outside loan through a third party. This payed for only one semester. And here is where it gets strange. After that semester, I decided to simply try and let the financial aid office find some sort of funding as they had in previous semesters. Now I know for a fact the college has a policy with refusing class entry if the funds are not present. I have seen, many times, people pulled from class because they hadn't any funds to cover class costs. Well here's the punch line. I had no money at all to cover my class costs and was permitted to attend class for the full semester. This has resulted in my owing the college over $3k in which I did NOT agree to. I tried to contact my financial advisor, and she stated how they "ASSUMED" I would be acquiring another outside loan. I said nothing of the sort to anyone in that school. I was simply allowed to accumulate a large amount of debt that cannot be deferred and thereby doing serious damage to my ability to pay the bills.. Can anyone help?
