Kentucky attorney general sues Spencerian College, alleging deceptive practices

Kentucky Attorney General Jack Conway filed a lawsuit Wednesday against Spencerian College, alleging that the for-profit college deceived students by misrepresenting its job placement numbers.

All of them need to look at Sullivan. They do the exact same thing. When. Daymar was investigated we said the same thing then Sullivannin Lexington must be looked at

They need to do the same with ITT. My daughter was a student there and was not allowed to return back to class because she was behind on payments now she owes over 60,000 dollars and has no education. She will never be able to pay all of that off.

That's what Sullivan does also. One girl cannot right now ctake her classes until she pays for the last class. Her job pays for school. No one cares or wants to help

Sullivan and Spencerian are two different schools. Spencerian Lexington and Spencerian Louisville are two different schools.
I graduated from Spencerian Lexington and I make $50 an hour as a Network Engineer. Most of my buddies that I graduated with have good jobs too.
There were a few people in our class from Eastern Kentucky that planned on working back in Eastern Kentucky that couldn't find jobs in their field back home. I am sure that affects the placement rates, but that's not fair to the college if someone won't move to get a job.
I can tell you that my teachers in the CET program definitely weren't in it for the money and they were really, really good. The things they taught us, I was using from day one on the job.
I can't speak for Spencerian, Louisville or for Sullivan. But Spencerian, Lexington is a great school with great teachers that really care about their students.

The sad thing about ITT is she never received any money it went directly to the school. There were times she didn't even have a teacher for her class and they would cancel it.

We had a guy who had graduated from ITT in our class when I went to Spencerian. He said it was bad at ITT. Must have been to come to a two year school after getting your bachelorís degree.
He got his Cisco certification and I think A+ and Network+ at Spencerian and got a job at UK hospital after he graduated.
This was at Spencerian Lexington.

Everyone needs to go to the KY Attorney General site and click on the student complaints link and let them know if this has happened to you. I did as well as some of my fellow graduates.

It's only the Spencerian Medical programs that are having the issues. Everyone that has graduated from the Technology programs seem to have jobs.
