It's actually quite dangerous for the Republican Party NOT to endorse Ron Paul. If he runs as a 3rd party he'll take a huge base of supporters with him. And if you know anything about Ron Paul supporters you know they're Ron Paul or nothing. Thus making it almost impossible for whoever the Republican nominee would be to get the votes needed to beat Obama.
One of three things is going to happen:
1. Ron Paul doesn't get the nomination and runs as a third party candidate: The new NBC/Wall Street Journal poll suggests Ron Paul would win 18 percent as a third-party candidate running against Obama and Romney. Obama wins.
2. Ron Paul drops out: fervent and stubborn Ron Paul supporters stay home or write him in. Obama wins.
3. Ron Paul gets the GOP nomination: Ron Paul gets the following voters:(a. 2008 Obama voters who thought they were going to get 'Change',(b. 2008 Obama voters who voted to end the wars,(c. the VAST majority of the Independent vote,(d. the entire GOP voting block who dislikes Obama enough to vote for Ron Paul instead.(e. Ron Paul supporters coming out to vote in DROVES. Ron Paul wins.)
So if your main goal is just to make sure Obama isn't in office for another term, you're seriously going to need learn more about Ron Paul and find the common ground you have with him as opposed to what you don't like.

Romneys largest donor is Goldman-Sachs.
Ron Pauls largest donor is US Military active duty soldiers.
Have to wonder what that means?

The fact is, Ron Paul has a 30 year record of upholding individual freedom, rights, liberty, based on the Constitution. He opposes the corrupt over-powered Federal government with things like the privacy invasion of the TSA, the evil Patriot Act, the 4th amendment killing NDAA bill, the internet censorship bill SOPA, the racist and corrupt War on Drugs, and the unjust wars in the middle east.
Ron Paul is the only one fighting against those issues. Ron Paul is the ONLY vote that can beat Obama, pulling votes from dissatisfied Dems, the growing Independent population, and a growing portion of the Republicans. A vote for Paul is the ONLY vote for peace, prosperity and liberty.
Vote Ron Paul. He is the only decent, honest, and intelligent candidate running. He is also the ONLY candidate that has his campaign funded by donations from the American people. Romney and everyone else are bought and paid for by corporations. How can they be for the people? Romney also lies and flip flops more than a fish out of water. People that listen to the mainstream media are really missing out. Do your own research and use your own brain.
Ron Paul is the only logical choice.

The GOP willed not be bullied into accepting "President Paul" out of the threat of a third party candidacy. He certainly couldn't garner anywhere near 18% of the votes in a general election. Such a proposal would require an enormous outrage against Romney, which isn't going to happen. All of the Ron Paul supporters that I've talked to will go to Romney if he becomes the nominee. I suspect Ron Paul will as well. If there is any truth in what his supporters say as far as him being a just and honest man, he will not attempt to split the conservative vote and assure Obama's re-election

So, you claim to be a conservative and yet you'd vote for Obama? Sounds to me like your in love with your cult leader Ron Paul so much that you can't bear to see him loose, and your pride alone is prohibiting you from supporting Romney. If you would support Obama over Romney, you are nothing close to being a conservative.
