The daughter of Menlo Park resident William Burnett, an assistant professor at Stanford University, is alleging police misconduct in connection with his arrest on suspicion of allowing teenage drinking at a party at his house in the 1200 block of Woodland Avenue at around 11 p.m. Friday .

In my mind, there is no question. The police participants or those responsible for their behavior with regard to Professor Burnett should be removed from their positions of responsibility before they cause more serious damage by further depriving upstanding citizens and generous educators of their peace and civil liberties.
