Other scientists point to data that shows the world has been on a cooling trend since the mid-1990s, however, and that our weather is much more related to solar activity. A massive solar flare was observed earlier this week.
Journalists still fall into the trap of reporting what fossil fuel industry funded shills say in the name of "balance".

Here's the trend since 1995. Does it look like cooling?

And in fact the scientific evidence says it's *not* the sun.
In the last 35 years of global warming, sun and climate have been going in opposite directions.
