Bid to scale back three-strikes law likely to qualify for state ballot
Backers of a three-strikes initiative written by Stanford University professors to scale back California's tough sentencing law submitted more than enough signatures Thursday to qualify the measure for the November statewide ballot.

Add another strike...you get three strikes, after that you are considered a high risk repeat offender where the court can prescribe reform options case by case.
