But the authors of the paper say the very opposite:

“I’m often asked whether climate change will threaten food supply, as if it’s a simple yes or no answer,” Lobell says.

“The truth is that, over a period of 10 or 20 years, it depends largely on how fast the Earth warms, and we can’t predict the pace of warming very precisely. So the best we can do is try to determine the odds.”

"Yields of crops such as maize and wheat have typically increased by between one and two per cent a year over recent decades. This trend, says the study, needs to be maintained to cope with population growth, greater per capita food consumption, and the increased use of crops for biofuels."
This means simply reducing the amount of corn used to make Ethanol will more than compensate for the worst case scenario presented by the authors conclusions.

"We can’t predict whether a major slowdown in crop growth will actually happen, and the odds are still fairly low,” says Tebaldi.
A complete contradiction of the alarming banner headline... and
Tebaldi is a co-author!

Also not mentioned in this article is the authors' statements pointing out the "Low Confidence Level" of Climate AGW's impact on crop yields.

Bottom Line: this is a SCAM (Scientific Certainty Argumentation Methods)

But hey, don't let the truth get in the way of your faith in "Contemporary Orthodox Climatology".

No, they haven't. The increased crop yields refers to agricultural science advances. Of course, "here is a tick", a sleepy sleazy slimy steenking toxic topix AGW denier liar, without science, chemistry, astronomy, physics, algebra & pre-calc in its poorly(or non-) earned hi skule DEE-ploooma, jumps to erroneous conclusions. "here is a tick" probably agrees with the errors of "lyin' brian", of 1 million TIMES, 1000 TIMES, 3000 TIMES, 73+ million TIMES, 2.5+ trillion TIMES, & 3.5+ trillion TIMES.

"here is a tick" is all this....... & much less!
