But who knew that he'd managed to make a major foreign-policy mistake even earlier than his father, the man who invented the modern gaffe? George Romney's historic gaffe occurred in 1967.

The GOP needs to define what a "conservative approach" to foreign policy means?

Ask a conservative, what that stands for and I guarantee that in the first 5 words they say "limited government".

I think it is a funny thing, though, that so-called conservatives take pride in their advocacy for small government and their criticism of welfare; entitlements and handouts. But when it comes to foreign policy they turn into liberals. They want massive military budgets. They want a supremely powerful Pentagon. They want virtually unlimited welfare handouts for Israel. They want a policy that frankly we cannot afford.

Welfare is supposedly bad for people - so-called conservatives call it a crutch and claim people would be better off to be forced to solve their own problems instead of being made dependent - but welfare is supposed to be good for Israel? And we give billions more to the enemy of Israel, the Arab nations. All with money borrowed from China!!

SO the democrats that voted for the wars are blameless?

So Obama, who continued Bush's Iraq policy is blameless?

So Obama who escalated the Afghanistan war is blameless?

More soldiers have died in Afghanistan under Obama in 3 three years than bush in 7 years is somehow blameless?

Obama has committed troops to Afghanistan for years and how is the the fault of the GOP?

I have been against these wars from the start, unlike republicans or democrats. To blame one party is laughable.
