"Climb in the right boat when choosing a life's path, she told the congregation." For Schori, her chosen career was the wrong boat. TEC was the right boat. TEC was certainly ripe for the picking. It was already dying theology, numerically, and financially. The only logical thing for TEC to do was to hire a theological twit to supervise and hasten its demise. She has certainly found the right boat for her ineptness.

I love our Presiding Bishop!

From the article:

Decked out in her multi-colored robes, the bishop served as exclamation point for a 40-person procession that entered and departed through a vaulted ceiling of song.

In the middle of the ceremony, Smith presented Schori with a traditional St. Martin's gift, a purple "prayer shawl" that contained the congregation's spiritual best wishes for her continued work.

Metaphorically speaking, Schori didn't miss a beat.
"Looks like a purple fishing net to me," she said, first to laughter, then a burst of applause.

What a bunch of Baloney above on the part of this LttW person!

First of all, I don't think this LttW person posting the above is an Episcopalian. So, really, what's the point?

Secondly, the name chosen by this person, "Listen to the Word," is a complete hypocrisy, as this person apparently refuses to listen.

Question for LttW:

Have you ever met Rev. Katherine Jefferts-Schori? I don't think you have.

I have. She is a terrific priest and has consistently demonstrated her ability to be a very capable leader of our Church.

More power to her.

I'll bet he's not a member of anything, just like our special joline.

Belonging, community, requires one's ego to be left at the door.
Some are just incapable of it.

Besides, it's so much easier to point fingers...
