You have drug violence that kills hundreds a year and terrorizes far more in Mexico. The money that fuels that drug war comes from the U.S. through the demand for those drugs here.

What other reason is needed to finally secure our Southern Border?

I have been to Morelia a beautiful city, but very dangerous I will not be going back any time soon. I got a good friend about 40 miles out in the country from Morelia and I am very concerned about his safety and the safety of his family.

Gov Perry running for Prez wants our military on the border and I say, yes hell yes! In the meantime the TX State Troopers will be joining other L.E. on the TX border. "Whatever it takes" works for me.

What we do now is stop Obama from granting back door amnesty to the millions of illegals so that he can get their votes now. We need to stop this crap.

Mexico needs NATO to get back on it's feet and a president that the citzens can trust. Mexico also needs to replace ALL governors, mayors, chiefs of police, all government and city officials with Nato's help. Calderon WILL NEVER WIN THIS WAR,I'm surprised the US hasn't given up on Mexico but the cost of this war is leaving both countries drained economically and weak.

I totally agree with you. Mexico rejected NATO's help and don't want US help (military)either. President Calderon wants to end this civil war by himself. It's not happening, it's too big now.

This is horrible...such a beautiful state and being destroyed and corrupted by narcotics. I was planning a trip down to Morelia next year (love the architecture and museums) but it doesn't seem to improve so I might have to go else where...

They just want OUR MONEY, MONEY, AND MORE MONEY!! Calderon has lost this war. I'm afraid of what we will have to deal with when Calderon's term is over. Whole towns being terrorized and made to flee their homes. I think to hell with what Calderon thinks or says and NATO SHOULD JUST TAKE OVER BY FORCE TO BATTLE THE CARTELS AND JUST WIPE THEM OUT NOT EVEN TRY TO APPREHEND THEM.

When you get ready to go let me know and I might go with you to Costa Rica instead of Morelia. like you I love the city of Morelia as it is a very beautiful place My friend has a big rancho about 40 miles from Morelia and I have been there 3 times and love it there I fly into to Mexico City and take a bus to Morelia and he picks me up but now I feel it is way too dangerous to go. One time I was stopped in the bus forr about 2 hours while they were having a dispute of some kind but nothing happened I was just late him meeting me in Morelia. Let me know.

Be realistic . Calderon and his crew have gotten hundreds of millions of dollars from USA to "fight" this war .

Who knows how much they have stashed away in Swiss accounts .

The police, political corruption there is staggering and this lends itself to drug cartels much like when Miami-dade was under seige .
Drugs here are rampant and come from Mexico via boat only to make it into the rest of USA . "Thanks" to the many "look the other way" politicos , police here.

"Cuban-Americans have “perfected [corruption in government] in many ways to a fine art.” That is not correct, however, because if corruption is done that well, it is unnoticed and subtle. Corruption in Miami’s Cuban-American government has been crude, blatant and openly defiant"

Hmmm afer the last debate does your hero still have your vote?

Perry is a hypocrite who will say one thing while practicing another.

Rick Perry has practiced giving illegals FREE education with citizens tax money.

Politicians can never be "heros" because you can't trust any of them. Each person needs to vote for the candidate that can benefit themselves and Perry would be good for Texas but, on the other hand..Perry totally fKdup in the last debate and probably did himself in because he allowed FREE education for Illegals(they need to be sent back to Mexico or where ever they came from) but are any of the other candidates any better? Is OB the answer to our problems? NO

Dont call it a war on the drug cartels unless you treat it like a war.
