Leave it to a city slicker to think "Deliverance" when in fact most states offer bounties on Coyotes. I think "Deliverance" when I drive into Portland.

I do not condone what happened in this article and will add that the person that did this is an unethical person and not the norm for people that normally Trap or Hunt predators.
The comment made by candeekissez is one of someone that is un-educated or misinformed of how it is in the real world. Coyote and Foxes are predators as well as Cougar and Bobcats with humans being the only more dominate predator to control there population. Without control these predators will wipeout other species. In many parts of Oregon these other species are suffering from non control, Antelope populations in many areas in Eastern Oregon are at 0 growth and some areas in decline from coyote predication. Deer populations are at danger levels in western Oregon from Cougar and Coyote predication. In other areas predators are eating house pets because they are easy pray and encroaching into populated areas for easy food and in many instances there normal food is unavailable because the predators have depleted it. Because of political reasons it is impossible to control these predators in these areas. This is too bad because in the near future humans especially children and house pets will be predators only food.
The animal rights groups are the leaders of the political problems that is causing this problem and until people wake up and relies that these people are only interested in the 6 figure salaries from there groups this problem will get worse. Some of these people are in the mind set that any child born with a birth defect should be killed at birth to not become a burden to society and have published books stating this.

I agree with Predcaller. All you bleeding hearts, the only thing done wrong here was leaving a pile of carcasses in a place that could not be considered proper disposal. It really busts me up that people who wear all the leather that they do start crying when animals whos hides literally graced the backbones this country was built on.
The key point is management. Balance. Being the CHIEF predator and virtually the top of the food chain, it is our job to manage this planet and it's resources. Deliverance........pfffft, he must be from Lake Zero

Yeah, we've done a great job so far being the most intellegent animal on earth, we can't even get along with each other. We pollute the earth and cut down the rain forest. Man is his own worst enemy. And man will die at his own hand. Time to change the way things are done.

I'm not un-educated, I've just been around long enough to know that I would rather live in a world of wild animals (who do what is natural and if left alone by man will thin out what nature has meant for them to) then to live with people who think they know everything and have done nothing but screw up the planet. And then excuse our wrong doing by saying we're the top of the food chain or we're the intellegent one's who must decide how to manage the world.
The shape of the world demonstrates just how well we're doing.
Animal rights groups saying that children with birth defects should be killed? Me thinks you are the one misinformed.

protecting livestock and having no respect for wildlife are to dirrerent things.something more must be done for our wildlife who truly owns the land, incase nobody has noticed the preator birds pouplation has from what i can see has to my horror droped.People who clam these things to be magnifacint ,might want to look around and do something like be a real rolemodel for motherearth .though no critter no matter what deserves such disrespect people claim to be hunters and such think whatever they do is ok somebeleive because there a man i seen this behavior across the board .it use to anger me now I find it all very sad, that this is what our childern have to look too.
