Those -isms are still bad, but they aren't that bad here in the West for most people, certainly for heterosexual adults with a wife and offspring.

There was obviously some kind of problem with him or his situation to result in this action.

However, it does point the way for One Million Moms to immolate themselves as lgbt rights advance further. You know, since the One Million Moms are so sincere. Also, ten or twenty burning women won't worsen climate change much.

Well, Hans, you creepy fake German, I have a box of matches when you're ready to flame out. But first, please leave us a list of the two or three people that will either miss you or actually notice you're gone. We'll make sure they're notified.

Well its just like I was talking about on the other thread.

The homosexual lifestyle piles on the burden of guilt over a long period of time, and when confronted with the act of the gay sex the mind snaps leading to disgust with one's self.

I hadn't thought of that, but I'll bet you are right. The minister was likely a closeted homosexual himself!

You're describing closet cases, since the weight of homophobic bigotry is being vastly alleviated for lgbt people with each advancing year.

Also, this guy was married with kids. Also, this guy was protesting sexism and racism as well.

Then stay away from gasoline/matches. An old flamer like you only needs a slight spark in that closet to blow off the hinges!

Aw. Is that how it happened with you, poodle?? Fortunately for the rest of us, we haven't experienced that. We're not consumed with self-loathing like you appear to be. You hate that, don't you?

This is pretty bizarre for a Methodist or any Christian. I cannot recall ever hearing of a Christian doing anything like this before.
Especially since most Christian denominations teach that suicide is a grievous sin.

I've heard that too. That suicide is an unforgivable 'sin'. Hope he filled himself with Morphine so he didn't feel any pain.

I can understand one giving his/her life in a just cause. The issues he cited were indeed just, but his act of suicide, in this case, was unjustified, abhorrent (to me), and wasteful. I cannot believe that he was in his right mind. We are not so oppressed that such an extreme act is justified. If his god truly exists, I am sure that god will forgive him. We have lost enough lives through suicide and murder, that one more is not justified. We have enough martyrs in our cause without doing so at one's own hand.
