Weiner lying about his Schlongcam was the least of it. That rave on the House floor set a record low for NYC Dems.

Will it play on MSNBC?? NO PROBLEM!

Any station that can harbor Maddow, Olberturd and Dribbling Chris can easily support Weiner.

Fun's over. Time to clean the House.

Hopefully Bob Turner wins that seat tomorrow. Disgusting ads by Democrats though. They are trying to use the TEA Party as a weapon against Turner, claiming he wants to take away Social Security from seniors.

Even the sharpest knife gets dull fast when you overuse it.

The Social Security scare doesn't work any longer. Besides, it's the White House that bled the "trust funds" dry.

Plus, the Dems swiped plenty of the SS money by taxing it. You don't get a deduction when you contribute, but you are taxed when you receive it.

Finally, they pay you, thirty years later, in inflated "funny money".

There are no bigger thieves than the Dems for destroying SS.

Wasn't it Clinton that signed the bill to tax S.S. when you collect it? Wasn't it also the dems that started using the S.S. funds to help support their "entitlemt" programs under Clinton?

Normally, when you purchase disability insurance, it's tax free when you collect.

Exception: Social Security disability income. FULLY TAXED!

Only 20 years?
Dem attacks go back much further than that

Take a look at LBJ's "Daisy" Ad from his 1964 run against Goldwater:

Perhaps Rick Perry used the wrong phrase with Ponzi Scheme, Social Security is a Pyrimad Scheme. There are 4 people collecting for only 1 person contributing. The amount the average person contributes plus interest, is way less than a person gets back should they live 20 years past retirement age. Which in these days of living longer is not a greart stretch. It is a government entitlement and has to be changed.

Dems. attack because they have no plans to discuss, so they simply trash the other party. They are a headache...so they should recognize it when another headache occurs. I do hope Weiner & his wife have a fine healthy baby. As long as Weiner stays out of politics....maybe down the road....people will forget....like some did w/slick Willie. No use to harbor resentment...it only hurts the holder.

It was enacted during the Depression, when life expectancies were much lower than they are today. It was also designed to be a safety net, to be used to supplement your own savings and other assets. It was never intended to be the sole source of income for millions of elderly, or for benefits to be given out to those who never paid into the system (as in many SSI recipients). That's why there is a Social Security crisis, because the present system is unsustainable.

Everything you said is true, but it is the politicians, especially Democrats who use it to scare senior citizens. You would think that by now there are enough adults with a little knowledge of a system that has been in place for 70 years that would understand how it works. I can't believe when I hear somebody say, "I have paid into it for x amount of years so it isn't an entitlement." Quiz somebody on how much they think they paid into the system and they will tell you hundreds of thousands of dollars. They would be shocked to learn they have paid a very small amount and get it back in a very short amount of time once they start to collect. It doesn't really collect that much interest either mainly because it is "invested" in government treasury bonds. It really isn't invested because it is used to pay off retirees right now. There in lies the pyrimiad scheme.
The system needs to be changed, people should be allowed to handle their own accounts and make their own investments. The government should not be our investment managers, but the problem is we have allowed the government to do this because they think we aren't smart enough to handle our own money.

Absolutely right!

The Libs figured all along to crash the system with these entitlements.

I've spoken to libs with PhDs in math who can't explain how this is sustainable.

If they were selling this on a late night infomercial you would think it was an SNL spoof.

The White House is saying that the NY 9 election has nothing to do with the White House.

That means that they KNOW they will lose this BIG!

Bozo blames his low poll numbers on a tsunami in Japan! Gimme a break.

He takes credit for everything that goes right, including a cool day in July, and then blames the Tea Party for warm weather in August.

Pulitzer was the congressman for this district at one time (1885?). Now? Ferraro, Schumer and Weiner.

The spin from the White House, MSNBC and the Democrats started at about 10:00pm last night. They tried hard to find any reason to claim this special election and its results mean nothing to Obama and the Democratic Party. Mind you, this is the same party and news organization that was chorteling in May when they won a seat in a special election in upstate New York.
They claimed that it isn't really that liberal a district, they have only elected a Democrat to this seat since 1922. They claim that the candidate wasn't their best choice, mind you the guy was hand picked by the local party leaders. They claim that low voter turnout caused their man to lose, mind you they had an army of workers, paid for by the DNC, to get out the vote.
Obama couldn't come to the district to help the candidate, so they dent in the Big Dog, Bubba Clinton to try and help him. Sorry Bill, not this time.
In the end nobody really knows what this election means for Obama in 2012, but what it says right now, most peole are tired of the same professional politicians running our country into the ground and it maybe time for people who have run businesses to run our country.

Low voter turnout??? In the largest Jewish district in the country??

Jews NEVER fail to turn out for a vote. If there was a low turnout, that would have given the already large Jewish bloc even MORE power - IF they voted Dem.

A Dem losing that district, with a low turnout, means that the Jews have completely rejected the Mocha Mahdi. Jews are 2% of the population, but 4% of the active voters, and 10% of Dem voters.

BUT, they account for over 50% of the contributions. Far more, in NYC.

Well, winter is coming. The "Arab Spring" is over.
