Are the great Catholic leaders going to SUPPORT all those children when the natural methods of birth control fail???? The Vatican is still in the dark ages.

They are just as effective. Are you going to be supported when yours fail...or is snuffing out a human being which has been created your solution?

Is the life of a child an economic choice on par with nice clothes, fancy car and a bigger house?

You obviously would know (but just forgot) that it was the Catholic Church which brought humanity OUT of the dark ages. It alone was responsible for preserving the knowledge and literature of Western Civilization until the chaos was quelled and humanity on the European and East Asian continent recovered its balance.

Is it probable that "la la la lola" will be the typical poster child for our descent BACK into the dark ages? We shall see. People and nations have to KNOW something in order to keep what they have...let alone achieve progress.

You got that right. And a reading of history shows that this little boy attraction is nothing new either. If the Pope did not run his own country within a country over there, the world might be shocked at what has gone on there over the years and never seen the light of day.

I was raised in both the Catholic and Jewish Faiths. I do not condone abortion in any form, but I do not see contraception as sinful.

I have studied the bible and I prefer the word of God over the dogma of the Vatican. That same Vatican which was only too happy to take in Nazi money during the Holocaust and looked the other way for years as it's priests engeged in pedophilia.

True - show me where the Bible states that women cannot be ministers? The church treats nuns so poorly, yet the rewards many priests and upper clergy receive are great. They are losing members daily because of outdated views.

The RCC avoids the bible. At least they did when I was going to Catholic school long ago. There were no bibles around and they were very specific about which version might even be allowed to be read. Everything was taught from separate books and catechism manuals. Catholics are far from bible fundys.

Happy Anniversary to the Pill!

Put all your faith in the pill...males,

Put all your faith in the pill...females,

The doctors have said, you can hop into bed,

And put all your faith in the pill. Amen!

Blessings/Good Wishes,

Name an Apostle ordained by Jesus who was a female.

Name a female the Apostles ordained. You can't Sheryl.

"I am appointed a preacher and an apostle,(I say the truth, I lie not,) a doctor of the Gentiles in faith and truth.

I will therefore that men pray in every place, lifting up pure hands, without anger and contention.

In like manner women also in decent apparel: adorning themselves with modesty and sobriety, not with plaited hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly attire,

But as it becometh women professing godliness, with good works.

Let the woman learn in silence, with all subjection.

But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to use authority over the man: but to be in silence.

For Adam was first formed; then Eve.

And Adam was not seduced; but the woman being seduced, was in the transgression.

Yet she shall be saved through childbearing; if she continue in faith, and love, and sanctification, with sobriety."

Then why do you pay rapt attention to all the aleged (sp?) MARY apparitions? She was only a woman and according to YOUR mindset she should keep her mouth shut, shouldn't she? I dare you to go up to a Mary statue and say "Listen up & quit speaking for the church, you lowly FEMALE"! Then jump back ten paces as the statue would probably explode.(I'm not superstitious like you are, LOL.)

Luke, by the way, you seem to have stopped thinking around 25 years ago. Don't worry, there's Aricept.

They've closed a couple churches here in Oklahoma. They can't get men to be priests. Hmm, a lifetime of celibacy. Can't imagine why they wouldn't line up in droves for that gig. lol

Mary Magdalene. The Catholics chose to take her book out of the Bible.

You are quoting Paul. It's a known fact he hated women. Men wrote the Bible, not God.

Another word for human is "man". Most of the King James version was misinterpreted.
