They should tear it down and build a kids playground dedicated in all the kids names

They need to tear it down and make it into a beautiful garden with memorials to all who lost their lives on that tragic day. As for the the post about autism being to blame, I am sorry but mental illness can not always be to blame for what is going on in this country. People need to start taking responsibility for their actions and this country needs to stop making excuses for them! No more pleeding insanity in court would be a start. We need to get rid of the loop holes and make evil pay! God bless the victims their loved ones and the town of newton my prayers are with you and may you find peace.

Wow thanks for the attack... I guess only you are entitled to your opinion. I was simply expressing the fact that we need to stop giving excuses for people to kill. I actually do not owns guns, but I do belive guns do not kill, people pull the trigger and they are the ones who kill! You may want to educate yourself on the situation and the gun laws because he stole his moms guns he was not able to go out and purchase guns or ammo. Maybe you should calm down and not take an opinion and attack people for expressing themselves just like you did in claiming he was not to blame! If you truly belive that he was not to blame you are sadly mistaken!

<quoted text> He was mentally ill. That absolves him, its law and its proper law. Guns don't kill? Then why do we use them to fight wars? Kill animals? Next you'll say cars kill so ban them too and ridiculous nonsense like that. How can you rip a strip of Adam and not at least admit guns in the wrong hands are a very serious issue. With 3 billion guns in the homes of Americans you can expect this to never stop.
Proper law would be to punish these people who kill mental illness or not they deserve to be punished just like anyone should be. How could anyone look one of the families who lost a loved one that tragic day in the face and say "oh well he had a mental illness! "And it is true guns in the wrong hands do kill because the person behind the gun pulled the trigger. That is why there are gun laws in place so these people can not legally go out and buy guns, which is why this evil being stole guns to commit such a horrible crime. Please do your research on gun laws and what this evil being did to get his hands on the guns used to kill children and educators. His mind obviously was in enough of a state to allow him to think and plot this out so the mental illness excuse is not working for this one!

<quoted text> This has been settled a long time ago. Law and courts do not and can not deal in emotions. You want a lynch mob, a firing squad, a stoning. Oh those gun laws are SOOO effective aren't they. Go to Newtown and tell those parents that. Be prepared for a verbal beatdown fella.
Once again I have to tell you that he did NOT purchase a gun he ploted, killed and stole the guns. He tried to purchase a gun and was turned down so yes indeed the law did work. Connecticut has some of the strictest gun laws in the country. The court does not have to deal in emotions they have to deal in criminal activity and that was what this was. Oh and by the way I am not a fella I am a Mrs. Just so you are aware I am from Connecticut and do belive in the gun laws and do belive this was an act of MURDER not mental illness, it is people like you who help this continue to happen.
