Rochester sucks period. The weather is crap. Monroe county is the 3rd or 4th highest tax's in the nation. There is really not much to do. Soon as I retire, I'm out of here. The job and family keeps me here for now. To retire as I would like, I can not afford to stay here. Not that I would care to any way. I have travled around and there are problems with anywhere you go but having to go with the lesser of the evils, Rochester is NOT the place to stay.

Rochester does suck. What i hate the most are these potholes that can and will ruin a perfectly good car.

I agree with you 100%. Rochester is in a class all by itself. There's no life here for a good majority of people. If one is born and raised here...my heart goes out to them for this is all they know.

I never have a problem finding things to do, Rochester is more exciting then many cities , the main problem here is the cost of things to do..

It all depends on what your looking to do here. Lots to do but the nightlife had much to be desired. Maybe cause this town is conservative and kinda redneck.

It is a s hole of a place and that is a fact.Liberalism has destroyed the USA and Rochester NY.

By the Way there is a small time DJ who has made lots of money by making the saps of this city feel like he is defending them.He is a classless act and has proven he is only in it for himself.I do not want to mention his name but it rhymes with Weasel.HEHEHEHHEHEHEHE

But in all honesty if you live here and you are young GET OUT .It is a tax trap with no hope for hard working honest people who are tired of paying for liberal fantasies that do not work.

By the way ,imagine if you were young ,wanted to have kids and did not care who the father was.In liberal Alan levin fantasy land it does not matter because you will be rewarded with full health care, full rent along with all utilities being paid for and a nice furniture allotment with cable and everything you could imagine. If you want steak you get steak,There is nothing Alan and his big government friends will not wish to give you.

So ,be a progressive and have lots of kids and the responsible hard working people will pay for liberal fantasies, that is until they decide enough is enough and then you might want to stop bleeding the honest people of Rochester Dry.

Hey Alan, how is that liberal government working for you now? Did you really believe that people voted for Obama because of his views. What a sap you are .HEHEHEHHEHE

You guys can believe in the Rochester nightlife all that you want. You leave the house with your wallets and return home without them. That's if you do not end up in Strong Memorial or Rochester General.
Rochester sucks, big time. I have had the opportunity to travel and live in many states, and the verdict is in. NYS is guilty of having a high cost of living in the 1st degree. Guilty on all charges of high taxes. Guilty in the first degree of commiting welfare to the lazies fraud. Guilty of allowing the gangs to take over. Guilty of allowing city employees to get paid overtime that they do not deserve. One the last count of not having any descent places to take your children( besides Chuck E. Cheese's or Horizon Fun FX), GUILTY.

Dewey,If you think Rochester is bad you should try places like Camden,Newark,Trenton N.J. or Philly. If you come out alive you are lucky.I'm am only doing the cities in the northeast as I have been in alot of the cities around the rest of the county IE:Boston,NYC,LA,Denver,Dallas ,Washington (DC+state),ECT.Lived in most of them and I would take Rochester over all of them. All of them have the same problems we have here, too many social handouts and too many liberal,P/C judges that lets the thugs run wild and will nothing about it.We can never bring our city back until we clean it up and get rid of the scum that live off the system IE:the working people.
