College Bans Beer Pong During Flu Season
Officials at an upstate New York college say students sharing cups during an beer drinking game played with ping pong balls became infected with the H1N1 virus formerly known as swine flu.

The comment by the health director is idiotic. Anyone who is familiar with beer pong knows that dozens of people rotate on and off a table each night. You would see a lot more than only 7 infected students (note RPI has 64 cases total, but claims only 7 were from beer pong). Furthermore, this is an insult to the intelligence of the students. Obviously when we play beer pong we will the cups with water and simply have the beers on the side. No one shares cups.
The H1N1 virus could just as if not more easily be spread in the campus dining halls which all have self-serve pizza and salad bars daily.
