I am furious that they agenda by city officials is to ruin Rensselaer. We do not want a dump site right in the middle of our city directly behind the school. We also do not want an asphalt plant operating along the Hudson River and dumping hot water in the river to cool the high heat dehydrators they will be using. Not to mention asphalt gives off air toxins such as benzene and carbinide sulfate. If that was not upsetting enough Rensselaer City officials rezoned our streets from historic residential to high density traffic dropping our home values. If you think you heard it all there is more. Sweednen has sailed a ship to Rensselaer port and cranes are unloading a mountain of trash, rusty metal, tires and debris in Rensselaer right on the banks of the Hudson. Those concerned folks need to come to the next 3 city meetings at 6:00 March 5,7, and 14!
