Whoever this administrator is.....needs to GET REAL! He is NOT a Doctor, just playing one, by himself.

I think all this stuff about diploma mills started with Dr. John Bear and his book "exposing" what he considered to be diploma mills. There was a rumor that he was just trying to put down other unacredited schools and promote his own as a "legitimate" school.

When I went to college, there was no such thing as the Western Association of schools and Colleges, which is now touted as the ONLY legitimate accrediting agency.

Does that mean that my degree is no good? I have been told that.

Personally, I think the whole idea that a school has to be accredited by the Western association of Schools and Colleges is in error.

I also went to two very good trade schools that were not accedited by ANYONE. The credits I got from them would not be transferrable just because they were not accredited by the Association of Western Schools and Colleges, even though the school was state funded! That just doesn't make sense!

Really in some trades, the people already in it make it impossible for new people to get in by putting up barriers for new people to get in, and thus keep the market for themselves. I think something like this is going on with the Association of Western Schools and Colleges.

There should be national tests for every trade and profession, and if people can pass them, they should be let in, no matter what it is. If the school turns out students who can pass the test, they should be considered legitimate. Period.

I think the Regional Associations of Schools and Colleges should be done away with. It causes a lot of trouble to a lot of good schools, and students.

It's a scam
