What do you propose doing with all the unwanted puppies that would be born if dogs weren't spayed at an early age? How many women in that study had hysterectomies due to cancer? I guess that would skew the results you were looking for. I would rather protect my dog from cancer, pyometria & unwanted pregnancy (all of which would shorten her life considerably), than have her live an extra year or two.

Hormones from ovaries are linked to strong bones, ligaments and tendons. If you spay, you will also have incontinence issues (just like humans, I might add).
There are studies out there which show spayed/neutered dogs have More occurrance of cruciate ligament issues, incontinence, other types of (bone)cancers, etc. How about tying tubes, just like they do with humans. Pick your poison...I choose to have the choice - and practice abstinence for my dog and it is do-able.

what annoys me is when women try to force their opinion across to people with dogs about getting their pets seen to when those women have big families them selves.What kind of hypocrites are these kind of people?And these moron people who are breeding these crosses and calling the so called breed whatever comes out of their stupid heads and asking higher prices than purebreds.They are just doing it for money,nothing else and shite those poodle crosses are so gee damned ugly

The only dog I have ever had with incontinence issues is the 9-yr-old male I have now. Most of my dogs have been female, all spayed. Never a problem. I will go with what has worked for me in the past. I adopt dogs from shelters & they all have policies regarding s/n.

dog lover- I agree with you. Just by mixing 2 breeds together & calling it a "designer" breed does not make it so. And check out all the puggles who are now in shelters. My boss just bought a puppy. He went to some woman's house & put in his order for what kind of mixed-breed he wanted. One week later he had his puppy. Makes me sick.
