It is so sad that fewer than can be thought of actually realize where Bridgeport has been, where it is, and where it is going.

Bridgeport's history, unlike many other towns has been mostly written. And aside other excitements it was more born out of the arts, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, than towns surrounding it. Bridgeport has been the home and expression of itself before the world, never mind the United States.

Unfortunately Bridgeport's past vastly includes a vast array of other historical facts. Militarily and factories being the main ones.

Regardless, it should not go unnoted that most of its contributions have been recorded. I believe this will bring out its artistic energy which has always been recorded from the locals and ignored by the none-locals that acquired anything from it. Many wrote their best works while here and yet made little if any mention of it in their works, and practiced their crafts while here, their prerogative.

Bridgeport's history forever controversial, never stagnant, and the mother of the ones sorrounding it, will never stop because of its abuse, but rather, exalt itself in it. It has never had a choice and it really has never cared.

God bless
