big deal , many many houses from that time period were stuffed with old newspaper , newspaper was used for insulation at the time , that is why fires were so devastating , and it was a custom of masons to throw a coin in the cinder/block walls , for good luck

They'll soon find the 134 year old author of the 103 year old papers in the foundation.

This is true as well as they used other things for insulation as well, such as tin cans I have heard, hay...etc.
A guy that lived outside of Creston back years and years ago,,,was the only embomber for hundreds of miles,,,and there was no where for him to rid of the bottles...so he built a house out of them...
This house is cool...use to drive past it quite often...put my camaro in low gear so the pipes would roar,,, old guy loved it...he not there no more.(he might have been the last bottle...lol).

How about the contractor in Ohio that found 60. 70k in a bathroom wall but worth far more? All 500.00 bills no longer in print. I don’t understand why he thought he was entitled to any of them. He was hired to do a remodel not treasure hunt.

"Her" camaro is just as real as "her" Harley Davidson - i.e., complete fabrications out of the realm of (lame and very unimaginative) fantasy!

Also, ROTFL about the word "embomber!" Maybe the hoho needs "embombing!" And that claims it went to "college!"

ROTFL! ROTFL! ROTFL!

I recently worked in a house constructed of old ammunition boxes. In those days, people used what they had.

I have friend that has (now) about 8 or 10 500.00 and I think about 12 1000.00’s. I hate him. Oh, and they’re all pristine. Back in about 1975 I knew this guy that excavating ground in a small town SW of Cleveland and he found a tin (OLD) Maxwell house can and inside was a single 1000.00 bill. Not very good shape but still, what a find. Now as for your story, Wow, that hurts to even hear that story. How long ago was that and how did you come by the bill?

it was about 1977, person said you couldn't get a Thousand dollar bill so we had a bet , I called bank and they said they would save me one , she called about two days later and said she just got the 500 hundred in so I went and got it , the radiator on car went was in Belmont NY and needed new one didn't have enough , ATM did not exist so was forced to cash it history , I believe Cleveland is on the $1000 had a grand torismo red ford , ala Starsky/Hutch the multi color side striping
just sitting there it look like it was in motion ... the radiator went because the car was made in Canada and it was a single core , instead of a double , why? because the single heated up faster and it is cold in Canada

351 Windsor. I preferred the Cleveland and YES it is Cleveland on the grand. I really don't know the value of those bills I'm not a collector but I like them because, well its a lot of money on one little piece of paper. They just look cool. S & H was a fun show and the 70'sa had no shortage of corny cop shows. I suppose I should have said (pig) My head hurts, I was cleaning the car in 100 degree heat and smacked my noggin on the edge of the door tip. I probably need a stitch or two but I like butterflies better. After they're wriggly.
