I've followed Lubchenco for a while now. Very impressive. The interesting item that's likely to come out of this is increasing attention to marine change, not just climate change. Science is beginning to realize that this is the most critical, most long-lived part of the carbon pollution issue, and Lubchenco is going to help bring this front and center. Just watch.
