Muldrow board approves removal of 10 Commandments Ten Commandments...

Just read about the removal of the Ten Commandments in your school and then noted the school mission. The mission should be amended to include bending under pressure to a small minority.(atheist represent 3.5+/-% of Americans).
I always thought Oklahomans were a strong people.. has that changed? One of my favorite songs has always beenĒ Youíre the reason God made OklahomaĒ. I suppose the title will have to change too.
The school board is a bunch of cowards and should be ashamed of themselves. What kind of lesson does that teach? If the atheist would like, let them post their beliefs next to the commandments to be fair.

You need to take off that white hood, climb down from the 4 X 4, put down the cottonmouth and bible, and recognize real quick that Christianity is NOT the only religion allowed in America! Now Americans have every right to raise their kids to be Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Wiccan, Confucian, Jehovah's witness, Jew, Sikh, Jainist and yes.... Atheist, if they so wish.
Now I am absolutely certain that you would hate to send your child to a school where any of the aforementioned faiths were going to be shoved down his or her throat in the form of wall plaques, allegiance pledges, prep rally's or whatever. That is exactly what Muslim kids and parents and atheist kids and parents have to go through every day when the kids are sent to school and are exposed to these Christian symbols. They are forced to consider that their religion or beliefs are invalid and that is NOT right and its not what we as Americans stand for. It's not what freedom stands for. For the first time in history we have a great Muslim president who has shown us how productive diversity and tolerance can be. This is not some dictatorship where you have a right to tell others how they need to worship. This is America, home of the free! If you want to live under the rule of a theocracy then I would suggest Iran or Afghanistan. They're all about forcing religion on people in both those countries and they would probably welcome you. The stars and stripes may not be best suited for you.
Thanks

So seems you are a little PREjudiced!
You saw I gave an address of South Carolina and assumed I was some sort of redneck with a bible and 4x4 etc. The only thing you didnít say was that I was a bitter clinger as our Muslim president (your words) has called them.
Actually Iím from Brooklyn NY where I grew up with, and accepted more diversity than you could have ever experienced in Arizona. Only lived in SC 6mos. By the way you neglected to mention Mormons who have a large presence in AZ!! Or arenít they acceptable to you? I lived there also in the Military
Obviously you didnít read my last sentence where I stated that atheist should have their right to post their beliefs also. I think anyone should be able to have such a plaque, just donít remove mine and how I need to worship!
Finally, letís hear some more about Obamaís acceptance of others especially in light of the IRS audits, AP wiretaps etc. And before you talk about the stars and stripe, I have spent more time defending them in war zones than you have obviously used your brain!!!

Thank you for your service to our country. I'm glad that you agree that your service was not in vain, as it allows for kids of all ethnic backgrounds and religions to attend public school, free from influence from other denominations that they may not be comfortable with. Thanks again.

Brainwashed hostility? This is America son and America was founded on Christian beliefs not Muslim or atheist beliefs and if you don't like that that then move to another country!! And see how much you like that!! I don't care what you believe but don't infringe on my religious rights and liberties just because you don't believe what I do. I'm tired of the hostility that Muslims and Islam is doing to our country! If you don't believe in jihad and Allah them they just try to blow up you and your family in the name if jihad!! What a joke Christians are not out there blowing people up. If you want to chose not to believe in Jesus Christ that's your choice and you will regret that secession when you die and your standing in front if Jesus. So if that's your choice so be it but stop pushing your crap on me!!

Dude calm down. Don't you realize that %95 percent of Muslims are peaceful people? Heck our President is even Muslim and you certainly cant say he's not American. What you are saying about Muslims blowing people up is stereotypical and unreasonable. Most of them just want to live in peace and enjoy life and raise their Muslim kids. Islam is the # 1 fastest growing religion in the world and its been predicted that America will be a Muslim country by 2050. Look it up.
Now how would you feel if you had to send your kids to school every day and they had to walk down halls with the Koran and Sharia Law documents tacked on the walls? You wouldn't like it would you? All I'm saying is step back, take a deep breathe, and try to examine the issue from the perspective of someone who doesn't practice your religion. Or you can continue blurting out closed minded hostility and further reinforce my point.

It does bother me that its growing so fast and if we (Christians) don't start standing up for our beliefs then it will be to late and sharia law and korans will be posted everywhere. And I beg to differ with you sir I have studied what Muslims believe and what they study but you say 95% are peaceful I'm talking about radical Islam where it states in the Koran that Jews and Christians are not their friends and that anyone who does not believe in Allah should be killed because they are an infidel. Christianity doesn't tell us to kill people God will judge them and deal with them! It worries me what this country will be like in 20-30 years and I fear the future for my child. That's why I'm fired up about it!

I can understand that. The point I'm making is that extremism is the minority within Islam just as it is within Christianity. Most Christians are not picketing soldier's funerals, baring swastika tattoos, stockpiling weapons, shaving their heads and beating minorities or burning crosses and lynching people. However, that does happen at the hands of Christians who are acting on their own interpretation of Christianity. Muslim extremism works the exact same way and just like skinheads and klansmen, Muslim terrorists fail to represent the majority of Muslims. Extremists exist in all religions and the world has gotten too overcrowded for people to continue intolerance of different religions. The intolerance is what justifies extremism. It feeds the hate that fuels extremism and it dooms our kids to the future that you fear. Hate and intolerance breeds more hate and intolerance. So if we continue to shut out logic and try to seal ourselves in this stubborn state of intolerance, then we will have only ourselves to blame in 20 years when our kids are living in the hell that we make for them.

Question:
Are Muslims allowed to make friends with Christians, Jews or other non-Muslims?
Summary Answer:
Unbelievers are described by Muhammad (in the Qur'an) as "the vilest of animals" and "losers." Christians and Jews are hated by Allah to the extent that they are destined for eternal doom as a result of their beliefs. It would make no sense for Muhammad to then recommend them to be taken in as friends by Muslims. In fact, the Qur'an plainly commands believers not to take unbelievers as friends.
The Qur'an:
Qur'an (5:51)- "O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people."
Qur'an (5:80)- "You will see many of them befriending those who disbelieve; certainly evil is that which their souls have sent before for them, that Allah became displeased with them and in chastisement shall they abide." Those Muslims who befriend unbelievers will abide in hell.
Qur'an (3:28)- "Let not the believers Take for friends or helpers Unbelievers rather than believers: if any do that, in nothing will there be help from Allah: except by way of precaution, that ye may Guard yourselves from them..." This last part means that the Muslim is allowed to feign friendship if it is of benefit. Renowned scholar Ibn Kathir states that "believers are allowed to show friendship outwardly, but never inwardly."
Qur'an (3:118)- "O you who believe! do not take for intimate friends from among others than your own people, they do not fall short of inflicting loss upon you; they love what distresses you; vehement hatred has already appeared from out of their mouths, and what their breasts conceal is greater still; indeed, We have made the communications clear to you, if you will understand." This verse not only warns Muslims not to take non-Muslims as friends, but it establishes the deep-seated paranoia that the rest of the world is out to get them.
Qur'an (9:23)- "O ye who believe! Choose not your fathers nor your brethren for friends if they take pleasure in disbelief rather than faith. Whoso of you taketh them for friends, such are wrong-doers" Even family members are not to be taken as friends if they do not accept Islam.(This is the mildest interpretation of this verse from the 9th Sura, which also advocates "slaying the unbeliever wherever ye find them").
Qur'an (53:29)- "Therefore shun those who turn away from Our Message and desire nothing but the life of this world."
Qur'an (3:85)- "And whoever desires a religion other than Islam, it shall not be accepted from him, and in the hereafter he shall be one of the losers."
Qur'an (3:10)- "(As for) those who disbelieve, surely neither their wealth nor their children shall avail them in the least against Allah, and these it is who are the fuel of the fire." Those who do not believe in Muhammad are but fuel for the fire of Hell (also 66:6, 2:24. 21:98).
Qur'an (7:44)- "The Companions of the Garden will call out to the Companions of the Fire: "We have indeed found the promises of our Lord to us true: Have you also found Your Lord's promises true?" They shall say, "Yes"; but a crier shall proclaim between them: "The curse of Allah is on the wrong-doers" Muslims in heaven will amuse themselves by looking down on non-Muslims in Hell and mocking them while they are being tortured (see 22:19-22.
Qur'an (1:5-7)- "Show us the straight path, The path of those whom Thou hast favoured; Not the (path) of those who earn Thine anger nor of those who go astray" This is a prayer that Muslims are supposed to repeat each day. "Those who earn Thine anger" specifically refers to Jews and "those who go astray" refers to Christians (see Bukhari (12:749)).

That is straight out of the qur'an this I'd why I'm taking a stand because it goes to show what true Muslims who follow this book believe in and what they think of us as Christians or anyone else who does not believe in their Allah! For you to say prior that 95% of all Muslims are peaceful is a joke! If they are a true Muslim and read and follow the qur'an then they cannot be friends or associate with us as Christians or Allah will cast them in hell! So reading their own book speaks to me as to what they believe. And I don't want this crap in my future or my kids future so I'm taking a stand! I am a Christian and a follower of the ONLY true LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST! There is no other name and there is no Allah! Praise be to The Lord Jesus Christ!!
