the womens basketball team was in greensboro,nc wednesday night to cheer on the bishop girls in the 1A west regional playoffs. one of the players has signed to play at va after graduation.
the game was played between bishop and robbinsville. some of the players from va told the rville girls that bishop was going to school them,this was uncalled for from a college team.
bishop joined the 1A division four years ago(the nchssa classified them as public because they do not board students)however they have taken the state title for three years and will most likely take it again for the fourth.
nothing wrong with the va team cheering bishop on, but the remarks made to a team that knows bishops record, was not something they needed to hear. the university has lost this family as a long time fan.
