The issue of trust is with Google, not Viacom

There are 44 comments on the www.washingtonpost.com story from Jul 13, 2008, titled The issue of trust is with Google, not Viacom. In it, www.washingtonpost.com reports that:

Google's self imposed code of conduct is "Don't be evil." It doesn't say "don't be evil unless there's important litigation at stake." Google's reputation is on the line, and how they respond will show their true character. They've shown they'll go to bat for employees, now it's time for them to show they'll go to bat for their users.

Well...all I can say is that I hope google doesnt screw its own customers just to save its ass
and if viacom wants to sue me for watching something that never should have been allowed on youtube in the first place because of copyrights then maybe I can sue viacom for stupidity.

What chance google when the u.s. congress can't stand up?

America has lost to materialism and theology. corporations control the material and the church controls the "accepted" ideology.

freedom is just another word for nothing left to do...

This article has it right - Viacom is not the threat. It is your business partner, boss, significant other, neighbor - anyone you may end up in a lawsuit against. They can subpoena your Internet activity; not just on YouTube, but on Google search or any other search engine where you are signed in; or your Web history, etc. The key is understanding what tracks you leave and learn how to stop doing so, or to erase them. This article highlights the threat to privacy and has some useful links to help you fend for yourself.

Google has by far the WORST customer support. In fact Google doesn't have any phone-support at all!

Thankfully I found out about an online organization called Web Force Now that provides services dedicated to managing online ad campaigns for me.

Now, whenever I type the name of my business in a search engine such as Google, Yahoo, or MSN, the information about my business always appears on the first page!

Here's a link for Web Force Now.

Click on their Marketing Services page to see more about the online ad stuff:

Web Force Now really is a great website!

I checked into it and they manage all of your online ads on all of the major search engines.

Prices are great, too!

That means whether or not you like Google or not, you can have Web Force Now deal with them for you. I think that makes a lot of sense, because you don't need to register with every search engine. Just register with Web Force Now, and they do all of that registering for you.
