Well it’s obvious he knows how to manipulate the political environment, he’s president of nmsu now. These are skills that are necessary to run a university, i.e. grow attendance, increase research, raise donations, and expand community relations. Wonder why the regents were not unanimous on this selection, maybe because the other candidate was actually better qualified, but he was not part of the inner circle (good old boy system) or wasn’t a board member, or had influence over someone’s outcome in the business college????
