Use of fraudulent academic credentials

The NJCU President, and a professor of criminal justice, both used fraudulent academic credentials for promotional purposes at NJCU.
But, according to NJCU's legal advisor "because the NJCU Board of Trustees is aware of this fraud, it is not fraud -- because to be fraud -- the Board of Trustees that the fraud was committed against, must be unaware of the fraud.
