I hate to inform this idiot.....but one is NOT selected for for service.....THEY VOLUNTEER!!!

And if marriage was just a privilege.....then why should a heterosexual have that privilege, but not a Gay or Lesbian?

Have I mentioned he's an idiot?

Homosexual 'marriage' is a cruel lie with no real basis in how homosexuals live.

Do the math. No significant percent of the homosexual population has 'married' in ANY country that allows it.

Homosexual 'marriage' has been overwhelmingly rejected as an actual practice by homosexuals themselves.

There is no logical or just reason to disenfranchise voters on this issue.

No homosexual relationship shares the reasons for government involvement in real marriage.

-No child is ever born as a direct result.

-No such relationship can provide a child with a father and mother and having both is the best statistical predictor of a child's future success in life.

-Homosexual 'marriage' is not a significant part of homosexual society much less of society as a whole.

-No economically unequal genders are involved and no standardized pattern exists.

You are incorrect. My lovely WIFE and I will be married 4 years the end of June, and we are a loving lesbian FAMILY.

David, quit spamming the boards. We all know that it's YOU.

Oh, and it's marriage, not 'marriage'. When you put a word in quotation marks, you denigrate it, and you are NOT allowed to do that to my MARRIAGE and my WIFE.

No, that was your former marriage to a woman which had no real basis in how closeted homosexuals, such as yourself, live.

On topic, it is odd that Santorum is the only one who attracts so much booing when they're all homophobes.

Must be that people don't like a fussbudget bigot as compared to more regular, less affected bigots.

This has puzzled me, as well, to no end. However, it's not for lack of attack. NOM (everybody remembers them, right?... right?... right?) was savagely and viciously attacked by the pro-gay nonstop; for a variety of reasons, it didn't really make headlines. But the fact that Santorum is being singled is strange, indeed.

As an adjunct to this, I saw a google headline in which Ron Paul is proclaiming that HE IS NOT RACIST -- so where the hell is the google headline pointing out that EVERY SINGLE REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE for the presidency is somewhere between moderately antigay and savagely antigay? ALL of them. Yet racism gets a headline and antigay sentiment does not.

The news media are reflective, to this day, in good part, by a "prevailing" and "genericized" cross-section of opinion that does not reflect reality -- as any check of google news will show even the witless; for the "major" news outlets are NEVER, EVER reporting what the more specialized outlets focus upon. My guess is that the major outlets wouldn't dare -- how spineless they are, indeed -- to claim that the republican contenders are antigay.

And this despite the fact that the AVERAGE DEMOCRAT now sees the republican party as viciously antigay. The antigay themselves decided to make gay rights and social issues an obsessive part of their platform -- and by early 2012, it *has* backfired. It has turned the average democrat into a champion of gay rights, although that sentiment has not translated (yet) into much action. But how, oh how it has backfired. I see countless, countless posts appended to news articles online which blast the republicans as primitives who might as well be racist, for all their antigay sentiment.

“Number one, marriage is a privilege it is not a right. It is a privilege given by society, held up by society for purposes that it provides some societal good. And I would make the argument, some extraordinary societal good.” from Rick Smear from the article.

He should add a fact checker to his staff. The Supreme Court has ruled that marriage is indeed a fundimental right.

Good idea because everything that comes out of his mouth is no different from what comes out his azz.

What David Moore our resident con-artist from Pekin IL fails to realize is that America is just as much our country as it is his. Well that and the fact that the Bible is not reliable enough to trust it to tell us about homosexuality.

The Republican Party today is actually three parties in one. One part seems to see only the financial problems, another makes up problems like gay marriage to pretend they have something of value to deal with, and the third are the Libertarians like Ron Paul who want to fix the economy, spend our military dollars at home instead of other countries, defend our borders, lower taxes, get out of debt and get rid of the Federal Reserve. Ron Paul also wants to make each of us responsible for our own lives, our own decisions and our own mistakes.

And at the same time:

There is a TV ad now where an elderly African American man tells the story about doctors now wanting to treat his white wife and how Dr Ron Paul did treat the woman even though he knew he was not going to get paid.

With Libertarians it doesn't matter if they feel comfortable or not around gay people, Libertarians do not pass laws against the peaceful activities of consenting adults because they have learned how to mind their own business, something they are trying to teach Republicans who believe exactly the same as the Democrates, in an expanding government.

Rick Santorum could not even be a pimple on a Libertarians azz.

Is that all code to excuse Ron Paul's anti choice stance?

The Supreme Court has ostensibly ruled that abortion cannot be ruled illegal by the states. Paul would undo that.

Yes he would. It is a State issue and not a Federal issue. Some states would make abortion illegal and others would allow it.

Then clearly we would see that the states that allow abortion in clean hospitals have the better program than in states where it is illegal and they are done in back alley's.

But the situation here is that it is not a Federal issue but one for the States to decide. Ron Paul is being consistent about seperating the Federal from the State.

Personally I would hope that states would provide enough birth control and education as to make abortion a non-issue.

My aunt had an abortion and I can't get over the fact that I could have had a cousin.

That is not the situation.

See, you're a loon. You are confusing what you wish were the case or what you think should be the case - abortion regulated by states - with the current reality - abortion is ruled legal under certain conditions by the Supreme Court.

People who are so disconnected they can't say, "It should be like this, imo, even though it is not," shouldn't be trusted.

Let me guess, you're an internet, mail order "Reverend." Like I'm part of Gary Bauer's corporeal body. smirk
