Just stay away from MSU. Don't get involved in their problems. There are too many legitimate schools for ANY ONE to stay at MSU. THIS IS YOUR FUTURE! STOP GIVING MONEY to a THIEF like POLK who thinks poorly of West Virginians. MSU is a scam.

MSU's current graduation rate is less than 15%. Their default rate on school loans is over 40%. This is the worst risk for an education that can be had in West Va. Protect your OWN INTERESTS. STOP giving money to a school that is ONLY lining the pockets of its senior administrators. This school is NOTORIOUS among private schools as a PONZI scheme. My GOD, the people in NEPAL have figured this out. They have dropped their enrollment in MSU by over 80%. Why can't the citizens of WVA figure out what it took the Nepalese students only five years? This school is a SCAM!!! Look at the credentials of those who are left. Almost all are from schools no one has heard of before. The same people that were there 10 years ago when they lied about their resources (M. Bonifer told us they all lied when they were up for accreditation ten years ago) are all there is left now. These folks have inferior degrees and will do ANYTHING to keep their jobs including LYING to the accreditors again.

Stop threatening those of us who tell the truth. If you are so great, you should not worry about what is being said about you on Topix. MSU is a lousy school that offers a sub-par education. How about dealing with those issues? We have a life. It's just not the MSU life. Most of us have got real jobs at REAL colleges but we feel for those we left behind in West VA. MSU is a scam. LEGITIMATE schools don't have to DEFEND themselves on Topix!!!

Has anyone else heard the rumor that the board of nursing is taking a look at the msn program? I hear that there are a lot of students who "graduated" in May, but haven't been allowed to officially finish because someone (whose name I won't mention, but we all know) keeps trying to change the guidelines. Somebody fill us in on the rest if you know what's up.

MSU is a scam, no question. Many of the students are unprepared for college level work, some are barely able to read and write. Its one thing to be an open enrollment community college, but another to take anyone with a pulse and a financial aid check. I've been in classes with other students that I suspect suffered from mental disability, not being mean here, just brutally honest. I've also had fellow classmates that could not read what the teacher wrote on the board and offered money to other members of the class to do their homework for them. No wonder that their dropout rates are so high. On top of this, the coursework is at a jr. high school level of difficulty and often not even determined by the instructors teaching the students. I don't think I ever studied for a test or spent longer than 20 minutes on a written assignment.

She must not be like the Beckley poster, you know, the self loathing alcoholic who has been of a guilt trip because of her part in MSU's problems.

Francine Kirby told the truth along with other nurses. The administration including Artis and Garland did not.
