Interesting. I wonder why?

Are they hiding the nurses? I would imagine they are pretty mad other than a few that slid under the accreditation wire such as Roslyn Artis mother!

I wonder how that happened?
Who cares

The valedictorian was a nursing student so I don't think they were hiding.

OIC, yes their best was from an unaccredited program. So impressive. Those at MSU are hardly impressed with anything nursing related at MSU.
Not sure

They had 30 to 40. All I can say is thank goodness for the WV RN nursing board and the NLN.

It will be interesting to follow this program.

This is an opinion. I love Laura Rhodes. She is wonderful and has helped to expose MSU.

She is only out to give MSU everything they deserve.

Nothing more and nothing less. And Jessica Sharp and Roslyn Artis you know exactly what you deserve!

You can post that 50 more times. I, and my family, have been having some horrible experiences in this area with healthcare. Doctors, nurses, radiology, labs, etc...and I am certain that these individuals are not all MSU graduates because I ask "where did you go to school?". Not to mention the doctors are specialist and last time I checked MSU didn't have a program for physicians.(Not assistants but physicians.

I've worked with horrible nurses from every college, and amazing nurses from those same colleges. In other words, it doesn't matter where you went, as long as you took the time to be a good nurse. MSU doesn't equal crappy medical personnel, bad attitudes and laziness equal crappy medical personnel.
Funny thats how it works in every aspect of life, even in a blog or comment thread.

Important thing is we don't have to worry about the good ones. Those are the people we would like to end up with during a medical visit. But guess what "we can't pick them in the hospital!" And lord watch over the elderly who don't have family support, they don't really know how to spot an inefficient or ineffective healthcare worker. I feel the poster made a valid comment.
Additionally, I can take a bad attitude as long as the worker is educated and can accurately apply their knowledge.
So again, incompetence can be a flaw of any graduate (from any higher learning institution)the question is how do we as a community remedy the problem.

P.S. If you feel a blog or comment thread is linked to medical care somehow, you should try not to blend all aspects of life. Your comment was idiotic at best.

I can say you are right and share the same view as me on the medical issue. First off this thread had nothing to do with medical issues, the thread is entiled "MSU graduates 500". Now I made a comment in reply to that other posters uptuse remark. You took offense and are showing your lack of knowledge about what information is in this thread. I find it ironic that "my comment" is idiotic but you posted in a thread about graduates. And furthermore in case your unaware; NURSING IS ABOUT EVERY ASPECT OF LIFE. The medical profession is about treating the whole person, including spirtuality, social issues, environment, mental and physicl issues and so forth. Last time I checked thats every aspect of life.

Clearly I deserved being called an idiot based on the fact that I attempted to show another poster their flaw in judgement. What comes around does go around but take a good hard look at what you are posting. Your right you can't pick and choose your healthcare professionals all the time (but you can ask for someone not to take care of you, its called the patients bill of rights), but you can make a difference by getting into the medical profession yourself and correct the things that are wrong. If that doesn't peak your interest than join your local hospitals for meetings (they are open to the public). Or better yet, write your congressman/woman. Clearly you had a bad experience but maybe you should post in an actual healthcare related thread that would be of your benefit.

Well sense you mention I have been in healthcare for a number years. The steps I took to remedying the problem was:

1) Becoming educated in an area that that I could add value to the most
2) Ensured my ability to apply my knowledge
3) Made use of my communication skills with patients, family, and hospital staff
4) Make every effort to add to the value and accuracy of the my patients healthcare
5) Educate the community on healthcare and its importance
6) Take part in events that encourage healthcare
7) Represent my higher education institution (MSU) to the fullest
8) Continue to educate and inspire others who are determined to make a difference (which is done quite well)
9) Pay close attention to feedback concerning my performance and service

Believe me, I could go on but I'll give you a chance to respond.
Your turn ;)
