I have entered two other commets and neither one of them has been entered in this chatroom. I wonder why. Maybe because they didin't like what I had to say and that they knew that I was telling the truth

Brenda IS Dales mother she is also my Aunt and Dale is my cousin and I love them both very much.

I can understand why people on here are mad as hell at Dale and why they feel his punishment is just. I dont beleive it is just because I dont see it as fair that the man who killed Mr.Gentry
gets to live while Dale has to die, and I am not saying what happened to Mark was in any way fair or just.

That being said I do not understand why people are attacking her on here she has done nothing to anyone. She is a distraught woman trying to deal with a horrible situation for all involved including Mr. Gentry's family. As far as why she is posting in this chat room tonight I think any mother would do whatever they could to try and save their childs life no matter who they are or what they did thats what mothers do. Cut her some slack.

Aunt Brenda don't listen to these people and do whatever you feel you need to do to help yourself cope.

I love you and Dale and I'm praying for all involved.

I agree that the laws of this state are weak to say the least, so do you think we should let bin ladid live after all he did not fly the planes into the trade centers, he just organized and watched. The laws are writtenand to be obeyed so if you brealk them you know the consequences and Dale knew what they were doing he may be stupid but he isn't retarded this wasn't slingblade

I understand what you are feeling for your Aunt, I am not saying Jessie doesn't deserve the same fate, he deserves worse, who are we to say that life in prison without your family, no outside contact, sleeping in a small closed in space is not a fate worse than death, we don't know we are not here. I am not trying to hurt Brenda but she has lied somewhere and she has not replied to the last couple of statements now she may have lied when she showed the scarsa off and told us all about how he beat her with the same hammer but in the same she did do it and say that he did it, his other brother the one who hasn't killed anyone yet was at he trial and he told the family he was only there to see Dale get what he deserved. I feel for this family because something was messed up bad somewhere but Dale made his own decisions. he may be bipolar but so is 70%of the people on disability so they can have an excuse not ot work,

Mississippi, like nearly every jurisdiction that permits capital punishment, has laws concerning common criminal enterprise (in Texas, for example, it is called the "Law of Parties"). Mr. Bishop is just as culpable for the murder as the person who pulled the trigger.

This is not something freakish or new.

OK Brenda, you win. Now just tell me how you can be in Spring Garden, AL; Woodstock, AL; Dawsonville, GA; and who knows where else all within a period of 3 hrs? Perhaps there are several Brenda's claiming to be the mother. Wonder if the real one might just be in MS to at the least be there when poor little Dale is executed?
I am the real Brenda, Dale's mother and Yes I was ther when he was executed. I don't put where I am from. I don't know why it keeps changing my residence. I have never moved and have used the same computer for all my comments!

You are wrong again. Dale's other brother was NEVERin the courtroom at Dale's trial. His younger brother George was ther every daywith the resat of us. As for the hammer I had never seen that one until the day of the trial, so I don't know where you get that I said he used the same one on me. He never used a hammer on any one, I did get scratches on my arm taking 2 away from him, but he didn't use them on anyone, and the sherriff's office took them after the Sept, incident

Brenda I do not really care who you are and this is not a quarrell of who knows what, the fact is the truth lies out on the old logging road and in dale and jessie head they both tell a different story of course since you know so much then you should know that there was more people there than Marks family when you showed the scars on your arm and introduced stoney Dales son to marks family who would be around 14 now is that right, quit calling people names that is just rude no one is stupid on here just curious. Jessie definately deserves to die for what he did to Mark, but that was the difference in 11 women on the jury and his mother pleading for his life, now I think ricky myhand and c. Rakestraw should have been charged in the case also. but then I think alot of people should have recieved more punishment than they have and manslaughter, murder, doug merchant still died as aq result of the blows suffered from George Bishop for whatever reason he did not have the right to take a mans life and if you have to use a hammer to whip someone's ass to prove a point then you are not much of a man you are something else that is not for me to judge but i think anyone can decide that. As for the other bodies in the confession that wass in there and so was "why did you go back and get the hammer out of Marks neck? and Dale replied, I never leave home without it, never know when I might need it.
Roy Bishop was the name stated to be Dale's real father,
Charles Rakestraw was charged wit accessory after the fact. He was sentenced to 2 years. He did not know what had happened until thye next day. I also think Ricky Myhand should have been charged becasue he held Mark while Jessie beat him. Dale had told me that before he ever went to trial.

I'm Dale's mother again. He was executed yesterdsay evening. I hope you all have some peace now as for Jessie, I don't think he should have gotten the death penalty. It is wrong in any circumstance. The prisoner isn't being punished any more after that. They are free from their cell and their family is left to suffer. I'm not going to post any more. I'm sorry for what Mark's family went through. Dale did again apologize to them at the end. he already had in court. You all will not hear from me again.

we are all very sorry for what has happened, i hope you find some peace knowing that Dale said he was ready and had got right with God, i know that has been the only peace i have when i think about how Mark must have suffered, i know God's grace saved him and he is in a much better place. I am Marcus James Gentry's sister and i am glad that the media circus is all over with but i do feel for you and your loss Mrs. Brenda and i want you to know it took a longtime for me to let go of the anger and forgive him, his apology was appreciated, both times.
