Sounds a little over the top. I do not intend to say that driving while under the influence is anything to be taken lightly but did the officer ever really fear for his life?

I too have known Adam since he was a little boy and his family. While Adam made very poor choices and deserves consequences for his actions, I find it difficult to believe there was any intent to harm the officer. There is more to the story and I pray everyone involved takes the time to fully investigate and do their homework.

I have known Adam since he was born and I am sure he would not want to cause any harm to anyone. He made a big error in judgement and deserves a chance to correct this error. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
