The military service is an interesting sidebar, but the overall point of homeowners being prohibited to rent their properties is a great issue to resolve.
I say that if a man's home is his castle, which not even the King of England may enter without invitation -- then forbidding paying tenants to enter is beyond the pale of reasonable jurisprudence.
