I understand dude was cleared and a judge said he and his partner gets new trials. Doesn't this mean that dude and partner could/should once again be tried for killing Dyke and Karen? Just a thought. I mean they never were pardoned. The way I remember both were granted a new trial, not vindicated. One could say vindicated for now, but not forever. Problem is who is going to step up and proceed with this process. Wouldn't it be crazy if they both are really part of the crime and both are awarded millions for their part? I read in the paper that Steidl said he was in Peoria the weekend this murder took place. This thread should draw some fire. Do the Paris people really put stock in the "BOOK"? I read it and it seemed to be an emotional rant from a pissed off former high ranking state guy.

anyone doubting Randy's innocence should just kill themselves now, because you suck at life!! He spent 18 years for something he didnt do. FACT!! If your from Paris you would know how crooked Mike McFatridge was! Oh and your doubts on the book..... it's certainly not speculation. Do you think Callahan made it up?? If so he wouldn't have won his case against the state police. Some people need to think before they open their fuckin mouths!

Steidl and Whitlock are innocent. We all know who really killed Dyke and Karen. He's just a coward for not owning up to it.

Right on! I'm not from Paris, but it doesn't take a genius to figure out what a snake McFatridge was/is. Didn't he own gay bars and do cocaine at one time? Nice.

i lived down the street just a couple of houses from dyke and karen. that was horrible what happened to them. i dont believe whitlock and stiedl had anything to do with it. i think the town drunk got paid alot of money to say what they wanted him to say. why are people so suprised that these two men were railroaded and sent to prison? the corruption runs so deep in this town and it has for decades. alot of peoples pockets were filled to the brim while two innocent people were savagely murdered. sorry to tell you but that book has more truth to it than alot of people around here want to admit

It will come out someday somehow. There will be many who will chose not to believe the truth. Again, wtf. Whitlock and Steidl are in this thing.

BTW, you will find out that callahan or his ghost writer did make alot of it up. He will justify by saying he was merely writing a book to sell and never knew the truth cause he was not allowed to investigate. It will collapse all around him.Talk about getting caught up in the moment. He lost his case against his supervisors fair and square and now must pay for their legal expenses. Funny thing is he turned down their first counter offer of over a half mill. Take up a collection if you want cause the book failed miserably.

Callahan made up stuff to make his book more interesting and to sell it! I read the book and for every falsity that he brings up on part of the law enforcement, he brings gossip into it. How can a sister be a credible source with her background? He cited her many times. And what makes his witnesses more credible? Once again it is all gossip. The truth will probably never be known which should serve Paris quite well as it thrives on GOSSIP. We certainly don't have to worry about an energy shortage here!

For your info Callahan won his case stupid, he just wasnt awarded any money, because of the law that says state employees cant be awarded punitive damages for blowing the whistle.

Those witnesses were more credible than McFatridge's. Seriously. That was messed up and so was the jury. Well, I guess it keeps things interesting...the gossip, I mean. Never a dull moment, as they say lol.

Yeah, I highly doubt he will make a death bed confession.
