Rochester's jobless rate is running well below the national average at 7.3% in October? Sure! The underemployed or the ones that have stopped looking and are no longer getting unemployment but welfare and food stamps now. Many have left Rochester for good to find jobs. Many have left NYS. Lots of empty buildings. Little high tech here anymore. Not sure what they are talking about? Unemployment is probably 13% here. The $25.00 an hour jobs are almost all gone in Rochester NY. Many RIT students are gone after graduation. Don Olson worked 32 years at Kodak and probably gets a $6000 a month pension and has $ 700,000 plus socked away. He is retired. Its play money for him with his antique business. This generation will not get high paying jobs with an engineering degree, no pension, no health benefits, no job for life like Mr. Olsen. Rochester and the USA is being downsized like the products in the store shelf.
