Cheryl Kashuba writes book on Scranton's history

Does the history include the sordid side of what Scranton used to be.There are still a few bars downtown,but not like Scranton of old.Also,just in the last 40 years the changes brought to the Hill section,the loss of property taxes caused by the UofS.Madison Ave,Monroe Ave,businesses on Jefferson Ave.To name just a few.All the university did was brought drugs and violence to Scranton.The Hill section is not what Scranton was in the past.I know,I grew up there and delivered the Scranton Times as a high school student in the 1970's.
