Caroline Kennedy draws criticism after latest tour

There are 5 comments on the The Associated Press story from Dec 29, 2008, titled Caroline Kennedy draws criticism after latest tour . In it, The Associated Press reports that:

Caroline Kennedy's latest trip under the spotlight as a Senate hopeful didn't get much better reviews than her first. A New York Daily News columnist said 'the wheels of the bandwagon are coming off.' New York Post state editor Fred Dicker already put her on his list of 2008 losers. And The New York Times said 'she seemed less like a candidate than an idea of one: eloquent but vague, largely undefined and seemingly determined to remain that way.'

On Friday after weeks of silence, Kennedy agreed to sit down for interviews with The Associated Press and New York City cable TV's NY1. Over the weekend, she scheduled another round of interviews with other news organizations from the Times to the Buffalo News. The New York Daily News noted she frequently used the phrases 'you know' and 'um' during the interview, which was skewered in political blogs Monday.

She wasn't on Meet the Press, Face the Nation or any other SUnday am show. Clearly she is relying on the Kennedy name and to hell with substance.

Change you can believe is never gonna come.

But, you know, she is , you know, a Kennedy, you know. She will, you know, do good, you know, up in DC. I mean, you know.
I listened to this interview over and over. For a person who grew up in such a wonderful political family(in some folks opinion) and exposed to a life style that many would die for not be able to put together a comprehensible sentence?? Good Lord. It was like listening to a "Valley Girl" ramble on and on.
And the main stream media said Governor Palin was not prepared to go to DC and ripped her apart daily. Give me a break. Come on New Yorkers, my God get someone in office who can at least speak a full sentence.

You know, ummmmm she saw an unqualified and inexperienced man elected President based only on his skin color.
So you know, why shouldn't she be elected based only on her daddy's name? She's entitled don't you know. Every Kennedy is entitled to political office, its just a you know, uhmmm given.

Just like those who vote Democrat, even the Democrat elites want everything handed to them!

Yes, Obama was elected because 70 million Kennedys voted for him. Brilliant. No wonder your side lost. You guys really did miss the evolution boat.

Palin wasn't qualified to be McCains secretary, let alone VP.

Kennedy isn't qualified to hold office, at least not at this level. Let her win a mayoral race for her home town and then work her way up but give NY a competent senator to replace Hillary, whom, most New Yorkers are quite pleased with currently.

After Bush, this 'legacy' crap has really put a bad taste in most Americans mouths. Can you blame them?
