Abroad scholorship is a joke, since only the wealthy kids get them. The real smart kids are passed over because they don't have to money to bribe the school director.
Only story like this where a foreign teacher recognize talented student and help them achieve higher education abroad.

First of all, it's great having Cambodian student studying abroad specially in America. Hopefully, they will make differences once they return home.
However, I do agree with you that Cambodian's junky and old system of bribery and nepotism still applies today. The rich and power still override any opportunity is given by foreign scholarship. That is why, there is a huge gap bwt poor and rich.
