A "super head", this is questionable. I am aware that there has not been an improvement in discipline. In addition, the staff on both sites have been extremely unhappy about the way Barry Fishwick has treated them. Large numbers of staff; teachers and support staff felt bullied by him. A number of staff were threatened with disciplinary action without formal procedures being implemented, leaving them with no choice but to resign their posts. The morale amongst the staff hit "rock bottom" and has never recovered. Subsequently, large numbers of staff who saw this injustice resigned their posts in the summer term without prospective posts to go to. These people have mortgages and families but would rather not work for Barry Fishwick hence the results deteriorating further from the "pre-Barry era". In my opinion, there is definitely a need for new leadership, even now, the legacy still exists as Barry brought a lot of the senior managers with him. Morale amongst staff needs to improve, otherwise the results will not improve . I feel that the students progress needs to be at the heart of all decisions made and at the moment, this is not the case. The results should be better and previous to the merger, the results at the girls site were better.

This bullying is exactly what he did at his previous school. He made it clear he didnt like "menopausal" women and clearly had his favourites....those he took with him!
