I attended your health care forum tonight. Thank you very much for holding it. It seems to me that the people who's numbers were drawn were disproportionately from the anti-public option crowd. I want you to know that the crowd outside was overwhelmingly in favor of the public option.

It seems to me that many people confuse health care with health insurance. Health care is and should be a private matter between patients and doctors. Health insurance, how we pay for health care, is a public matter and should be like Social Security: paid for through payroll taxes. As one woman said, it is essential for everyone's health that everyone get covered. We're all in this together.

I do heartily agree with the fellow who said that health insurance should be decoupled from employment. Too many people make job choices based on insurance rather than on what their real talents are. Too many people are discouraged from starting small businesses because of health insurance concerns.(I count myself in that number.) What better way to stiffle creativity--and to stiffle the economy! Single-payer health care would be the best solution for this problem.

Finally, I want to express my support for Rep Anthony Weiner's amendment. The Public Option is a compromise to those of us who support Single-Payer. To give up on the Public Option would be to sell-out to moneyed interests.

Thank you.
